OBEDIENCE TO GOD BRINGS HAPPINESS

[Of Special Interest to Young People]

Joyousness results from true obedience, for obedience to God's law is not burdensome. This statement can be proved by anyone who is willing to put God first. The motive with which we approach our tasks is the important factor. In proportion as we examine our innermost thoughts and make sure that our motives are clean and unselfish, we find the ability to dwell in harmony and order.

In Sunday School work the young person who has obediently prepared his lesson is receptive to Truth and has much to share with the class. His preparation blesses himself and others with whom he comes in contact. Since the work of God, divine Love, is complete and perfect, it makes no difference to infinite Love whether this preparation is made or not. But it is of vital importance to us!

Love is eternally conscious of its own ever-present loveliness and of the ever-operative law of harmonious Principle. It is for our own benefit and happiness that we should demonstrate the unequivocal presence of perfect God and perfect man.
