Ever since my introduction to Christian Science over five years ago, I have been grateful to God for the many blessings He has bestowed upon my family and me as a result of our study of this religion.

I first began this study while I was a junior in high school. One afternoon I was sent home, because I had symptoms of measles. A Christian Science practitioner, whom I asked for help, told me that I needed to see myself as in reality a perfect child of God. I was reminded of the Bible passage (Matt. 5:48), "Be ye therefore perfect, even as your Father which is in heaven is perfect." With the kind help of the practitioner, I was completely healed, and I was able to play with our high school baseball team three days later. This experience was followed by healings of colds, headaches, and other difficulties that our family encountered.

Three blessings which I recognized shortly after beginning the study of Science were healings of sties, of biting my fingernails, and of using foul language. All three of these demonstrations of God's power have been permanent.
