For many years my husband and I have proved the healing power of the Christ as taught in Christian Science. In the raising of our family of three children, we have had numerous opportunities to put this power to the test, and it has never failed us.

One of the many wonderful healings we have experienced took place about twenty-five years ago. Our son, who at that time was ten months old, was suffering from a very painful condition in his ears. There was a constant discharge accompanied by a high fever. Since I was quite new in Science at the time and very much alarmed at the child's condition, a doctor was called.

After making his examination, he told us that it looked very much as if a double mastoid was developing. He suggested that the first thing in the morning we take the child to the hospital for X rays and possibly an operation. This verdict came as a great shock to my husband and me, but man's extremity proved to be God's opportunity. A very serious decision confronted us, one that had to be made soon. Thanks be to God, we made the right one and called a Christian Science practitioner. By noon of the next day the child was completely healed.
