Brady, Texas (Society).

A special dedication service will be held at 11.00 a.m. Sunday [January 27].

Christian Science first came to the attention of Brady residents in 1922, when a small group began holding Sunday services in private homes. In July, 1951, it was decided to take steps to become a recognized branch of The Mother Church, The First Church of Christ, Scientist, in Boston, Massachusetts. This was done, and on March 15, 1952, the group was recognized as a Christian Science Society. In the same year arrangements were made to purchase a building and lot at 700 W. Eleventh Street. The building was remodeled to make it suitable for the holding of church services and meetings.

On October 21, 1956, Christian Science Society, Brady, sponsored its first lecture.
