Although I had been a student in the Christian Science Sunday School for many years, in my late teens I drifted away from attending classes and ceased to study Science. However, I never forgot the truths I was taught. I knew from experience that God, good, is always available to help us and to meet our needs. When passing through deep waters some years later, I clung steadfastly to the wonderful truth that man can never be separated from God, good, and I returned to the earnest study of Christian Science.

Since that time I have experienced many healings. Grief at the passing on of loved ones has been overcome. So have prolonged periods of mental depression and false traits of character. An internal disorder of many years' standing was healed with no specific work having been done on this problem. A severe case of sunburn was also healed, and lost articles have been recovered.

Two healings in particular have been an inspiration to me. These were accomplished through my own understanding and application of the truth. A thumb which had been caught in a car door was completely healed when I held to "the scientific statement of being" on page 468 of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. No evidence remained to show what had happened.
