The greatest difficulty which...

The greatest difficulty which besets me in acknowledging my gratitude for the blessings which Christian Science has brought to me and my household is in choosing a few healings to write of, because we have had so many wonderful proofs of God's love and protection.

For the harmony and comfort which were experienced at the birth of each of our children, I am truly grateful. The prayerful work of the practitioner on each case and the loving assistance of Christian Science nurses, as well as that of a friend and my sister, who are both Scientists and who joyously helped in many ways, are also greatly appreciated. The study of our textbook, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy, particularly the chapter entitled "Creation," was very helpful. And the article "The New Birth," which begins on page 15 of "Miscellaneous Writings" by Mrs. Eddy, was of inestimable value.

Both children have been beautifully protected and healed. One instance of such healing came about in this way. While the two children were playing a game they ran together very forcibly, and the boy's head struck his sister's nose. She came running into the house crying with pain. We began to repeat audibly the Lord's Prayer and its spiritual interpretation from Science and Health (pp. 16, 17). Before we had finished, the bleeding had stopped.
