"THE DEAREST SPOT ON EARTH"

Home! How varied in meaning is this word to each one of us. To some, home may be a large, gracious dwelling, while to others it may be a small house, an apartment, or just a room. Although we may not agree in our tastes and concepts of home, most of us will agree that it has a very dear and important place in our lives.

Christian Science teaches that in reality our home is heaven, the consciousness of God, divine Mind. And because this home is wholly spiritual and established in God, it is eternal. Mary Baker Eddy writes in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 254), "Pilgrim on earth, thy home is heaven; stranger, thou art the guest of God."

Each individual establishes his own highest sense of home. The more one discerns his true, spiritual home, the happier will be his human abode. Our Leader tells us on page 58 of Science and Health, "Home is the dearest spot on earth, and it should be the centre, though not the boundary, of the affections."
