MAN, THE EXPRESSION OF GOD

"Man is the expression of God's being," declares Mary Baker Eddy on page 470 of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures." It follows then that man is forever perfect and complete. Man, however, is not God, but is one with Him, just as the sun's rays are one with the sun. Man is the mode by which God expresses Himself.

Since God is Mind, He expresses Himself only in ideas, of which individual man is the highest idea. Our true selfhood or individuality is God's expression. Understanding and claiming these truths, we shall find them manifested in our present experience to the exclusion of erroneous concepts, which are unknown to Deity.

There can be no apprehension about our present experience or about what can happen to us in the future when we accept the truth that God and His ideas alone are real. Lying suggestions that we are unhappy, unsuccessful, bored, or unnecessary will meet no response in us when we know that God has only good to express or give.
