HOW CHRISTIAN SCIENCE HEALS: December 21, 1957 Issue

[Following is the text of the program of the above title released for broadcast the week end of December 13—15 in the radio series, "How Christian Science Heals," heard internationally over more than 800 stations. This is one of the weekly programs produced by the Christian Science Committee on Publication, 107 Falmouth Street, Boston 15, Massachusetts.]

RADIO PROGRAM No. 222 - God Does Not Afflict

Speaker: In the book of Job in the Bible, referring to God as the Almighty, Elihu says, "He is excellent in power, and in judgment, and in plenty of justice: he will not afflict." Our guest today found this to be true. At one time he was in the depths of darkness, with no hope of living beyond his teens. When his thought was enlightened through Christian Science, he began to understand that God is divine Love and could not send sickness or disease to His children. This awakening led to his complete healing.

Friends, meet George Marselos of Chicago, Illinois, who will tell us of his experience.

Mr. Marselos: This healing occurred more than twenty-seven years ago, and it happened this way. I was confined to a sanitarium in Chicago, suffering from tuberculosis. After spending a lot of time, a lot of effort to get well, I was at my wit's end. The doctors told me the best thing I could do would be to go out West and take it easy. There wasn't a chance for me to get well.
