RADIO PROGRAM No. 211 - The Open Door to Healing

Speaker: Today many people are learning for the first time to turn to God for help and healing through prayer alone. And they are finding that even a glimpse of God's great love for man brings increased joy and healing into their experience. Our guest was healed of a general infection, failing eyesight, and a poor disposition through opening his heart and mind to a deeper understanding of God. I'd like you to meet Edwin Banta of Los Angeles, California.

Mr. Banta: During the early part of my business career, my health, which had always been more or less robust, began to fail. First there were little chronic ailments and finally what the doctor called a general infection throughout my whole system. I took various medical treatments for the trouble, but things seemed to be going from bad to worse. My eyesight began to fail acutely, and finally I was told that I might soon become totally blind.

I was in the advertising business —public relations, copy, and layout—and my work was seriously affected, as you might imagine. I admired the man that I worked for at that time, and thought it only fair to talk the whole matter over with him. He listened sympathetically and asked me if I would like to hear the story of his healing in Christian Science.
