With the deepest gratitude for all...

With the deepest gratitude for all that Christian Science has done for me and others the world over, I write this testimony. For many years I have longed to contribute some good to our periodicals in the hope that it would bring inspiration and help to others.

I am very grateful for a healing of an annoying skin disease which required consecrated prayerful work by a practitioner and myself. For a while I felt as though all my prayers and spiritual thinking were clouded with a sense of heaviness. One night while I was walking I declared the truth to the best of my ability. Suddenly I had a feeling of conviction that God was right there and that I was healed.

I stopped walking and just rejoiced in the clear glimpse I had of Truth. The healing was accomplished at that time, and there has been no return of the trouble. This experience has served me well time and time again when I have felt that there was little or no progress being made. God is always present, and if we are persistent, the light will come.

The power of Christian Science was again proved when our car hit a bridge abutment and was wrecked. My first audible expression was, "God is right here." I requested help of a Christian Science practitioner, who at once did prayerful work for me. To ease the fears of my husband, who is not a Christian Scientist, and to comply with insurance requirements I consented to X rays of a hand and a shoulder. It was found that bones in the hand and shoulder had been broken, but that they were in the proper position and were knitting together correctly just three days after the accident. Not long afterward the healing was complete.

Another healing was that of a goiter, which had prevented me from singing. It was wonderful to be able to sing again. The healing was acknowledged by others who were not interested in Christian Science, but who could see the change in my physical condition.

I am so very grateful for all the periodicals and for membership in The Mother Church, which gives me a feeling of belonging to a great Cause for good. My prayer is that I may do good daily.—(Mrs.) Doris Tuttle Kjelstad, Decorah, Iowa.
