This experience is so precious to...

This experience is so precious to me that I should like to share it with others. While I was studying the weekly Lesson-Sermon in our Christian Science Quarterly, I witnessed the disappearance of discordant matter into its native nothingness.

For some time I had worn a set of bracelets daily, and many times I had noticed a small white lump on my wrist at the base of my thumb. My only thought about it had been that I did not particularly like its being there. One morning while studying I thought, "Oh, that little lump is right where my bracelets move about!" But I dismissed the thought and continued with the lesson.

A few days later my attention was again attracted to the lump while I was studying. This time I discontinued studying a moment and thought, "I could easily have that annoying little lump cut off." And again I continued studying. A third time, several days later, I again noticed the lump.

Having had my attention definitely attracted to it three times, I stopped my reading and began to reason about the condition in this way: "You are not as harmless as you would like me to believe. You have distracted my thought from my studying on several occasions, and because of seeing you there, I entertained the suggestion that you be removed by material means. You are just a false mortal suggestion—lawless, mindless, powerless. You are not in anything or of anything. You came from no place and have no place to which to return. All you can do is to fade into your own nothingness, for all space is at this moment filled with God." As I declared the unreality of the lump, it disappeared.

I have been blessed with many proofs of the unreality of such ailments as chronic headaches, a sprained ankle, a badly inflamed eye, and a goiter. In addition, through Christian Science I have experienced improved financial conditions and have found homes. But this experience of which I have written was the most outstanding one, for it brought a much-needed lesson. I learned that even the slightest error should be detected, denied, and rejected immediately. Then it will have no opportunity to develop into a more serious condition. I am grateful for Christian Science. I appreciate and love our wonderful Cause and every activity connected with it.—(Mrs.) Caroline A. Bunger, Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
