"THE TEEMING UNIVERSE OF MIND"

Christian Science rejects the material picture of creation as a false concept of the one perfect universe created by God, Spirit. This Science reveals that the true universe is unseen to the material senses. It includes only spiritual ideas—all of God's ideas—governed and maintained throughout eternity by the perfect and ever-present creator, divine Love.

In describing God's universe as it unfolds to the individual, Mary Baker Eddy writes (Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, p. 513): "Advancing spiritual steps in the teeming universe of Mind lead on to spiritual spheres and exalted beings. To material sense, this divine universe is dim and distant, gray in the sombre hues of twilight; but anon the veil is lifted, and the scene shifts into light."

The "teeming universe of Mind." "Spiritual spheres and exalted beings." What vastness and what glorious activity and achievement in this great universe of Spirit! It is not a distant but an ever-present creation. Only to the unenlightened consciousness does it appear to be distant and dim, material and distorted.
