The
Christian Scientist finds a strong impetus toward spiritual healing and confidence in the permanence of that healing through the study of the Bible and the works of Mary Baker Eddy.
Today,
above the clamor of nations that are seeking their place in a restless world, above the noisy turmoil of men and machines, can be heard this comforting Bible promise which lifts human thought from the fear of disease and destruction.
In
the study of Christian Science we learn that man is made in the image and likeness of God.
As
the spiritual fact that life is eternal dawns upon us, we begin to awaken to the deeply satisfying realities of true existence.
When
Jacob wakened from deep sleepHe rose up, and he knew that whereThe angels' ladder made its steepAscent to heaven, God was there.
In
the first chapter of Genesis we read, "God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good".
Moses,
the great Hebrew leader, knew God as the great I AM, the invisible God.
Christian Science
rejects the material picture of creation as a false concept of the one perfect universe created by God, Spirit.
"He
uttered his voice, the earth melted," we read in the forty-sixth Psalm.

Most Christian Scientists know that gratitude is a powerful and healing influence in their lives.
My heart overflows with gratitude to God and to our dear Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, for the blessing of Christian Science.
I had been a sincere student of the Bible and of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy for several years before I had occasion to prove their healing power in a very serious situation.
It is a joy privilege to bear witness to the healing power of Truth as taught in Christian Science.
