ONLY GOOD CAN BE PROVED
In the first chapter of Genesis we read, "God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good" (verse 31). John declares (1:3), "All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made."
The Scriptures reveal that all reality is created by infinite Life and that without God—Love, Truth, Mind—"was not any thing made that was made." It is manifest therefore that since evil does not fall into the category of "very good," evil is totally without life, uncreated, and incapable of proof—without scientific demonstrability.
Through the omnipotent laws of the one infinite God, good, and His infinite manifestation, discord or error of any name or nature is seen as a mistake, or false belief. Christian Science saves, not from actual conditions, but from belief in the reality of material cause and effect. Its divinely mental healing is glorious emancipation from the delusion of a false sense of things. This Christlike method of destroying the captivity of material sense does not ignore the problem but dissolves it through spiritual understanding.
