A Reading Room librarian reports that many people have come in during the year asking for the pamphlet that is mentioned on the radio programs. Some came to buy copies of the Sentinel containing specific healings—such as nervousness, fear, worry, heart condition, tuberculosis—and several asked especially for the Sentinel with the testimony about the young person at college who was protected from the desire to be a "good fellow" and go along with the crowd in drinking and smoking.

A young man said he desired to attend the Wednesday evening meetings because he wanted to hear testimonies like those he heard over the Sunday broadcasts. He said he loved the programs because he liked to listen to the accounts of healings. He has purchased several books at the Reading Room and is now an organist in a Christian Science church. This contact led his mother and sister to attend the services.

A librarian at a Reading Room received a telephone call to the effect that an elderly lady, who was hospitalized, wished that a Christian Scientist might visit her. She had heard of Christian Science through listening to the radio programs. That same evening a Christian Scientist called on her and told her of God's great love for His children, just as the radio programs had presented it to her. Although a claim of paralysis prevented her from speaking, she listened attentively, and her eyes and facial expression showed that her hope and faith were kindled anew and reached new heights through the truths as presented in Christian Science.

A woman told of the healing of a backache through Christian Science. She said: "I had had a claim of backache for several days. To material sense I could not get up and down stairs without assistance. The following Sunday morning a suggestion came to me that I would not be able to go to church. Later on, I turned on the radio to listen to the program, 'How Christian Science Heals.' As I did this the thought occurred to me that every word coming over the air from this program would be a healing truth. It was not until I had come home from church and was in the process of preparing dinner that all at once my consciousness was flooded with gratitude, for I realized that I was healed."
