I have been a member of The Mother Church and of a branch church for many years and have had the privilege and joy of class instruction.

Some time ago my thought was roused by the articles in a Sentinel. The writers voiced positive statements of absolute truth which had healed. I reasoned that these and other healings of which I knew were not brought about by those who had attained perfection, but were possible to all who sincerely, understandingly, and with conviction claimed the immediateness of healing. I recalled that the Bible relates numerous incidents in which the healing was immediate.

That very evening as I was dressing to go to the Wednesday testimony meeting my wife came into the room quite distressed. Our young son had come into the house crying bitterly. He had struck his head on our picket fence while playing football. His mother reported to me that he wanted help in Christian Science. He had a large swelling on his head and was in severe pain. Also he was in such a dazed condition that he could not understand the words of Truth my wife had spoken to him.
