I first became interested in Christian Science about twenty-four years ago after hearing a criticism of it which I later discovered was wholly untrue and presented just the opposite of Christian Science. However, it aroused my curiosity to such an extent that I lost no time in obtaining the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy. I realized immediately that this Science is the absolute truth and that God had made it possible for Mrs. Eddy to reveal it to humanity.

Through Science I have been protected many times and in many ways. During one extended period of time, when I was compelled to be out of doors in untoward circumstances, I was protected from abnormal heat and cold.

While I was passing through some very harrowing experiences early in my study of Science a nervous condition was manifested, accompanied by eruptions of the skin and much irritation. By knowing that man is not made of material elements and by holding to "the scientific statement of being," found on page 468 of Science and Health, I was soon able to overcome the discordant condition.
