Christian Science was presented...
Christian Science was presented to me more than twenty-four years ago by a student of this Science who worked in the same office with me and who invited me to a Wednesday testimony meeting in a Church of Christ. Scientist. I had heard of Science through relatives and friends who were interested in it and who had derived many benefits from its teachings. Therefore I was grateful to accept this invitation with an open mind, for I was seeking a more practical religion to help me to better understand God and my relationship to Him.
The crowded church convinced me that Christian Science must have something to attract so large a congregation of intelligent people. Some of the hymns were familiar to me, the readings from the desk were inspiring, and the testimonies were given with a sincerity that turned my thoughts to God and made me realize how much I needed love and humility.
