Christian Science has brought many blessings to me and my loved ones for many years. Our gratitude for Mary Baker Eddy's devotion in giving this wonderful truth to the world is without limit.

From birth, one of our infant son's eyes watered constantly and at times became quite full of matter. Prayerful work was done by a Christian Science practitioner. The trouble would clear up and then return. My husband felt a need to have the condition diagnosed by a baby doctor, who told us a tube was closed and must be opened by surgery. An eye specialist was recommended. When we called his office, the nurse stated that the specialist was out of town and would be away a month.

My husband said that he had no objections to having Christian Science treatment for the child before the specialist returned. The practitioner again took up work for the child, while I clung to this statement of truth (Hebr. 4:12): "The word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword." In just over two weeks the eye was completely healed. This proof of God's healing power was cause for great rejoicing.
