How grateful Christian Scientists should be for the Wednesday testimony meetings! The Lesson-Sermons found in the Christian Science Quarterly, which are the substance of the Sunday services in Churches of Christ, Scientist, fill our thoughts with truth and show us the divine pattern we must follow. Then, at the testimony meetings on Wednesday, proof is given that these precepts are practical, that Christian Science heals. It is as important for students of Christian Science to attend and support the Wednesday testimony meetings as it is to attend and support the Sunday services, in order to give and to receive blessings for themselves and to give impetus to the Christian Science movement.

In the Manual of The Mother Church by Mary Baker Eddy, we are told in Article VIII, Section 24: "Testimony in regard to the healing of the sick is highly important. More than a mere rehearsal of blessings, it scales the pinnacle of praise and illustrates the demonstration of Christ, 'who healeth all thy diseases' (Psalm 103:3)."

We all find it beneficial frequently to rehearse our blessings mentally. It is helpful in giving a testimony at a Wednesday meeting for us to go farther. The simple statement that some erroneous condition has been healed through Christian Science is encouraging to those who believe themselves in bondage to a similar error. But the description of the spiritual steps of thought which resulted in healing often show a listener the way out of his problem. When the demonstration of Christ-healing is elucidated by the words of Truth and the inspired angel thoughts which brought release to the testifier, healing often takes place in the consciousness of another then and there.
