I welcome the opportunity to give this written expression of gratitude for the many healings and other evidences of good my family and I have received through the study of Christian Science. I have been studying this wonderful religion for the past thirty-five years.

Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science, states in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 402), "Christian Science is always the most skilful surgeon, but surgery is the branch of its healing which will be last acknowledged." This testimony bears witness to the truth that Christian Science indeed is the most skillful surgeon.

When my younger boy was seven, he broke his collarbone in two places. At the time, we were living in a small town where there was no Christian Science church or practitioner. Thinking that my understanding of Christian Science was too small to bring about a healing, I called a physician, who recommended an immediate surgical operation to set the bone fragments back in place.
