With sincere gratitude for Christian Science...

With sincere gratitude for Christian Science I desire to add my testimony to the many which tell of the healing power of this religion.

Born of honest Christian parents, I had a thorough grounding in the Bible teachings and became a member of the established church. For a time I was happy. However, grief entered my consciousness when a loved one passed on, and I could no longer find solace in my religion.

Shortly afterwards I visited some relatives and learned that they were studying Christian Science. My attitude was skeptical. Nevertheless, I asked them to tell me more of this Science. They lovingly explained its teachings and lent me a copy of the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. During the next two weeks I could read nothing else. I studied and pondered the book day and night. As I read, a great light illumined my thought. My grief vanished, and I was healed of some smallpox marks which had been on me since babyhood. My gratitude knew no bounds.
