The testimonies in the Christian Science...

The testimonies in the Christian Science periodicals have always been an inspiration to me. I should like to share a few of the experiences that I have had in the hope that some other seeker will be benefited as I have been.

About twenty years ago I was under medical care for a complication of ailments. I received no relief, and when a dear friend asked me if I would be willing to try Christian Science, I was eager to begin its study. Through this Science I was entirely healed.

For many years I enjoyed good health. Then, about three years ago, I contracted influenza and bronchitis. I was unable to take any food for about ten days, and I became very weak. One day the practitioner asked me to visit her at her home. The day was foggy and extremely cold, and it was an effort for me to make the journey, but I knew that I had to prove my trust in God. I turned to Science and Health, where Mrs. Eddy says (p. 392): "If you decide that climate or atmosphere is unhealthy, it will be so to you. Your decisions will master you, whichever direction they take." I kept the appointment and was so uplifted during the conversation with the practitioner that when I arrived home again I was entirely free.
