Before I was led to Christian Science, I was always sickly and suffered from great fear, which made it impossible for me to learn any kind of work. Then Christian Science came like a ray of light into my life, and I gained more and more confidence in God. Through Christian Science I was healed of serious physical complaints, and problems of various natures have been solved. These healings were brought about with the help of a practitioner. I have received so many blessings that I say with the Psalmist (Ps. 116:12), "What shall I render unto the Lord for all his benefits toward me?"

In my family, a very strong tendency toward tuberculosis of the lungs was prevalent. Five dear ones had fallen victim to this disease. Fifteen years ago I was in a hospital suffering with it. After I had been there a long time, I expressed a desire to go home. Although not healed, I was discharged. A few months later I was led to Christian Science and was given treatment by a practitioner. My health improved visibly, and before long I was completely healed of the disease.

A year later I was privileged to experience another wonderful healing. I found myself at the brink of the grave with diphtheria, complicated by attacks of choking. Although at that time I had a sick-fund policy for a large amount, I relied solely on God. Our Leader, Mrs. Eddy, writes (Science and Health, p. 167), "Only through radical reliance on Truth can scientific healing power be realized."
