I have had many proofs of the healing efficacy of Christian Science throughout the years. Also I have been protected during accidents.

Some time ago I had a proof of God's care in the healing of a heart attack. Mary Baker Eddy tells us in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 14), "Become conscious for a single moment that Life and intelligence are purely spiritual,—neither in nor of matter, —and the body will then utter no complaints." She also writes (ibid., p. 151): "Mortal belief says that death has been occasioned by fright. Fear never stopped being and its action. The blood, heart, lungs, brain, etc., have nothing to do with Life, God."

These passages were very helpful to me. It became apparent that I should correct my thinking regarding heredity. The realization came to me that the real man had not come into matter and mortality through material birth nor would he go out of it through death. In reality there is no period between birth and death filled with sin, sickness, failure, pain, false pleasures, and human misery—a period wrongly called life. Life is God, and the attributes of Life are health, harmony, energy, continuity, and eternality; these man reflects.
