Our Leader's Counsel Regarding Church Membership

In writing to a branch church regarding its dedication, Mary Baker Eddy lovingly counseled, "May God's little ones cluster around this rock-ribbed church like tender nestlings in the crannies of the rocks, and preen their thoughts for upward flight" (The First Church of Christ, Scientist, and Miscellany, p. 186). This loving counsel is for all time and is extended to earnest students of Christian Science throughout the world.

Twice each year applicants who are ready for membership in The Mother Church are admitted by The Christian Science Board of Directors in accordance with the requirements of the Manual of The Mother Church by Mrs. Eddy.

The next date for the admission of members is November 4, 1955, but applications must reach the Clerk on or before October 3, 1955. It will be most helpful to the Clerk and his staff if those who intend to file applications will do so as early as possible rather than wait until near the closing date.
