THE LITTLE THINGS
What
tasks have I today?
Are they so small and insignificant—
Sweeping a floor, plowing a fallow field—
That I may do them for myself alone
And not for God?
There is no task too small.
For He who fashions all things from the least
Unto the greatest takes true work for praise,
Blesses the single talent rightly spent
And says, "Well done!"
Sylvia Joan Albery
