SUBSTANTIAL GROWTH IN OUR SUNDAY SCHOOLS

The Christian Science Sunday School is becoming more and more appreciated today not only by parents and other adults, but by the children themselves. Parents who are Christian Scientists and many who are not affiliated with the Christian Science church find genuine satisfaction in providing for their children the spiritual education which our Sunday School offers and which the world so much needs. And the children welcome the opportunity to learn to practice the spiritual mastery of adverse circumstances which the Sunday School inculcates.

Throughout the Field, Sunday School attendance is increasing. In not a few localities the number of pupils exceeds the number of church members. Some churches, both large and small, report that growth in the past year or two has brought the number of pupils to two or three times the number of church members. And one church with a membership of fifty has a Sunday School of two hundred and one pupils.

Marked progress is noted in the United States, Canada, Indonesia, Japan, the Philippines, South Australia, Southern Rhodesia, New Zealand, France, Germany, England, and the Netherlands; and during the eighteen months ended November, 1954, fifty-six new Sunday Schools were established in various parts of the world.
