With great joy and gratitude to God I offer my testimony of the efficacy of Christian Science. I became a student of this Science when a friend, to whom I am very grateful, loaned me the textbook, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy. I was expecting a child, and a condition arose indicating a premature birth. A similar condition previously had resulted in the loss of a child.

Christian Science proved to be the help for which I had been searching. This time I experienced a harmonious childbirth, although it was premature, and material predictions were set aside. Through what I had read I learned that God is man's Life. Our daughter was raised in Christian Science and attended Sunday School from the time she was two years of age.

In Hebrews we read (4:12), "The word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword." This truth was proved to me when our daughter experienced a broken arm. We repeated the Lord's Prayer and read from Science and Health until she could have the help of a practitioner. The practitioner affirmed that there are no breaks or dislocations in God's creation, and the bones slipped into place and set normally.
