CHRISTMAS DAY
The
shepherds brought their simple faith,
The Wisemen offered gold
And costly frankincense and myrrh;
Each brought his gift of old.
What shall we offer on Christmas Day?
Feast of the things of earth?
Or thought attuned to angels' songs—
Gift of our own new birth?
