SPIRITUAL IDEAS BRING DAILY SUPPLIES

Christian Science, based on the truth of perfect God and perfect man, is a positive way of life. It enables individuals to overcome want and unemployment and to evolve higher living standards, thus proving man's perfection. The first chapter of Genesis gives the true history of creation. In verse 1 we read, "In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth." After the inspired writer enumerated the various spiritual ideas, including man, which were unfolded, he wrote (verse 31), "God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good."

Christian Scientists take this revelation as the basis of demonstration. On this basis the destruction of every inharmonious condition can be accomplished. This is possible because no condition or circumstance could conceivably exist outside of the infinitude of God.

Two students of Christian Science had an interesting experience which illustrates this point. They needed greater income to meet certain financial obligations. To material sense, their need was for money, but from their study of Christian Science they realized that what they needed was a clear understanding of God and His spiritual ideas. They prayerfully studied the Bible and "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. They endeavored to be more grateful for what they had already proved of man's completeness. Daily they gave deeper thought to expressing their true nature as the likeness of God through supplying loving service and unselfishly filling the needs of their customers. The immediate result was an increased and a more profitable business.
