SALVATION IS INDIVIDUAL

Salvation is always individual. World salvation is possible only when the individuals in it are saved. The process of salvation has been going on for ages and will continue in individual consciousness and life. Hence it will continue in the development and improvement of the entire world until each one awakens to the present fact that God is All and perfect, and that man is His spiritual offspring, made in the likeness of Spirit, Principle.

Individual salvation, however, is not dependent upon world salvation. Enoch worked out his complete salvation in his three hundred and sixty-fifth year. "And Enoch walked with God: and he was not; for God took him" (Gen. 5:24). The Master, Christ Jesus, completed his mission and ascended while yet what is considered a young man. Throughout the Holy Bible are illustrations of the progressive development of individual salvation, and the improvement of the Israelites because of the individual salvation going on in their midst.

Sin, sickness, and death come from the mistaken belief that man has lost or can lose, or even reject, his God-given heritage of spiritual individuality, the expression of his true being as the child of divinity. Salvation, therefore, is the result of the realization and demonstration of one's perfect spiritual entity, one's eternal individuality. It is evidenced in better health, successful business activities, harmonious living conditions, understanding of others, greater compassion, patience—in fact, more of the spirit of Christ.
