DIVINE UNDERSTANDING IS IRRESISTIBLE

The Bible contains many assurances that our loving Father-Mother God is in complete and continuous control of all His creation. Many in all ages have known this truth and received directly God's guidance. In grateful praise to God for their deliverance Moses and his people sang (Ex.15:13), "Thou hast guided them in thy strength unto thy holy habitation." Christ Jesus, the Way-shower, so fully acknowledged God's all-em-bracing influence in his life that he said (John 10:30), "I and my Father are one."

Through her discovery of Christian Science, Mary Baker Eddy has brought again to mankind the understanding of God's primal control. In "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" she writes (p. 171), "Mind's control over the universe, including man, is no longer an open question, but is demonstrable Science." Any sincere follower of this new-old truth can prove today that God is indeed a "God at hand" and that His ever-presence is expressed in right guidance, protection, and blessing.

During World War II an Army officer who was a student of Christian Science had many opportunities to prove that God is an ever-available help. As he leaned on the sustaining truths that he had learned concerning God, confusion gave way to calm rejoicing, fear was stilled, and difficult assignments were accomplished with quiet confidence.
