Words cannot possibly express...

Words cannot possibly express all my gratitude to Christ Jesus for his loving example and to Mrs. Eddy for her revelation of Truth. The Christian Science periodicals and other activities of our movement, which bring healing truths to us, are indeed a blessing.

I have been a student of Christian Science for twenty-three years and have never known any other religion. On my entrance into the world of business I temporarily strayed from practicing what I had learned of Christian Science and tried to be as sophisticated as my associates. I soon found that there is no true profit in doing so, and I very hungeringly returned to Truth.

Through the study and application of Christian Science I have been healed of colds, headaches, and burns. I have been instantaneously freed from pain that resulted when boiling grease spilled on my face, shoulder, and arm. The discoloration quickly disappeared also. This healing followed my joyous declaration that true substance is spiritual and harmonious. An instantaneous healing of intestinal influenza was experienced by a member of the household through the realization that this condition could not enter one's real house, or spiritual consciousness, since this consciousness is the impartation of the one divine Mind.

One evening after a particularly trying day with our two small children I was quite exhausted. I had expected to relax for a few hours before bedtime, but it occurred to me that there were still some household tasks to do. As I went about them I began to suffer from a pain in my back. "Now wait a minute," I said to myself. "The work I am doing is a work of unselfed love, and it can bring nothing but blessings." The pain immediately ceased, and I knew that the choice of unselfish activity over selfish inactivity had been a right one.

More wonderful than these healings is the peace which has come as I have taken my stand with Truth, Spirit. Christ Jesus indeed left us his peace, as he promised, and it is ever available to all men. My blessings have come through persistent study of Christian Science, participation in church activities, help from practitioners, and lecture attendance. The best way I know of expressing gratitude to God for this Science is one I learned in the Sunday School: "Thinking good is thanking God."—(Mrs.) Lois L. Mitchard, Chicago, Illinois.
