I wish to express my gratitude to God for Christian Science. About 1916 I mentioned to a friend of mine who was a student of Christian Science that I was suffering mentally and physically. She advised me to take up Science, but I could not see how religion had anything to do with my health.

Two years later I met my friend again, and she asked if I had taken up Christian Science. When I said I had not she said that I did not have to be sick. Her words stirred my consciousness; so I went to the Christian Science Reading Room and purchased Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy. Its study brought me freedom from my suffering.

A few weeks afterward the influenza epidemic came along, and I got very sick. Everyone who saw me thought that I would pass on, but the little understanding of the truth which I had gained from my study of Science saved my life. From that time until now Christian Science has been my only physician.
