I should like to tell my experience of the liberating power of Christian Science. For fifteen years I lived in bondage to a physical condition. Doctors could not help me. I could not be left alone, and relatives assisted me all those years.

A friend of mine gave me a Christian Science Quarterly, and with the Bible and Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy I began to study the Lesson-Sermon. After a short time I visited a Church of Christ, Scientist. I enjoyed the Lesson-Sermon and the hymns, and from that time I have seldom missed attending the services. Gradually I gained my freedom from the physical difficulty.

During the Second World War, I had many proofs of the love and power of God. Mrs. Eddy's statement (Science and Health, p. 224), "No power can withstand divine Love," was of great benefit to me. Eleven years ago I put off glasses, which I had used for eighteen years, and I have not needed them since. When the floods swept into this country some time ago, many of my relatives were living in the flooded parts. I am grateful that every one of them, nearly fifty persons in all, was saved.
