PROVING WHAT WE PROFESS

The great demonstrator of divine law, Christ Jesus, worked for our guidance that through his holy example we too might understand and demonstrate the Science of being. He proved the divinity of the doctrine he professed by applying his spiritual understanding of the divine Principle of all real being to humanity's needs. He ever demonstrated the Science of Love in healing, uplifting, and saving mankind.

Divine metaphysics, as practiced by the Master, is today reduced to a system which is readily comprehended and applied to present-day needs. This system was divinely revealed to Mary Baker Eddy, and she named it Christian Science. Before our Leader could share her revelation she was called upon to prove the origin and accuracy of this Science.

Students of Christian Science are directed by Mrs. Eddy to follow in the way that Jesus pointed out—not merely to believe in his works, but to obey his commands. In the degree of our spiritual understanding we must emulate the Way-shower and do the works that he did.
