Although I was raised in Christian Science, I found it easier to have my mother help me with problems than to learn to do the necessary work for myself. However, after leaving the family home it became necessary for me to study earnestly and to apply the truth to the problems of the moment.

One of the earliest healings I recall was that of chronic tonsillitis. This healing took some time, for I feared the yearly return of the ailment. When I overcome this fear, the disease disappeared. Another healing was that of hemorrhoids accompanied by severe pain and hemorrhage. An aggravated case of eczema was healed when I earnestly studied to know more about God and to manifest more humility and love.

When loved ones have passed on, the healing of grief has been a beautiful demonstration. Supply has been evidenced when lack appeared to be very real. Lost articles have been found when I refused to acknowledge them as lost. Mrs. Eddy's statement in the Christian Science textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 454), "Love inspires, illumines, designates, and leads the way," has helped me to know that I can lose nothing good.
