I feel that I should relate some of the healing experiences I have had in my thirty years in Christian Science. On one occasion while I was alone at home I suddenly felt such extreme pain in my stomach that I could not move even to telephone for help. I had no idea what the trouble was, but I realized that I was on my own in demonstrating God's power to heal.

On a nearby table there was a Sentinel. I managed to reach it and started to read an article about God's all-power. The loving way it was brought out was very inspiring. By the time I had finished the article I was completely healed. I thanked God, for only a short time before I had been in great difficulty and now I was free again. Then I went about my usual duties.

Another healing was that of a nervous breakdown. This was a slow healing, but I realized that it is the filling of our thoughts with the good and real that counts. I loved Christian Science and knew that the physical condition did not matter so long as I affirmed the truth and recognized my God-given freedom. The condition finally gave way to the truth, and I have been completely free from it for many years.
