PRAYER THAT IS CEASELESS

The student of Christian Science takes everything to God in prayer. As he progresses in his realization of God's ever-present availability he acknowledges his need prayerfully to submit all to God's guidance; and he knows that his prayer is answered. Progressive demonstration assures him of this.

Almost everyone feels at one time or another the necessity of offering some sort of prayer, and even scoffers at religion or the seemingly materially-minded often turn to divine Providence for help in times of great need. A Christian Scientist does not have an indefinite concept of God, but he has a very definite understanding of His ever-present nature, because he refers to the definition of God given by Mary Baker Eddy in "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 587): "God. The great I am; the all-knowing, all-seeing, all-acting, all-wise, all-loving, and eternal; Principle; Mind; Soul; Spirit; Life; Truth; Love; all substance; intelligence."
