First Church of Christ, Scientist, Keene, 74 Washington Street, purchased in 1945 and completely renovated and remodeled to suit the church's needs, was recently dedicated. ... Two dedication services were held Sunday, June 28. ...
[This] church ... had its beginning in 1898, and public services were first held in 1908 in Wildey Hall. The Sunday School was also established in 1908, and the Reading Room had its beginnings in 1909. The church, then a Christian Science Society, changed its location several times, and in 1926 the property at 105 West Street was purchased.
