It is with heartfelt gratitude that I offer this testimony. Christian Science brought joy into my life at a time when I thought there was nothing left for which to live and when I was in the depths of despair and loneliness. As I think back now, I can readily see that all my inharmonies were the result of a wrong concept of God.

I had been brought up in an orthodox church, in which I remained active for a number of years. Finally, I drew away, and for about ten years I was not with any church. I shall always be grateful to the kind woman who, seeing my distress, presented Christian Science to me. I knew nothing about this religion, but it sounded so reasonable and beautiful that I accepted it wholeheartedly. That was about ten years ago, and since that time my greatest purpose in life has been to be a good Christian Scientist.

What wonderful things have befallen me in the past ten years! I have had healings of eczema, heart trouble, and a stomach disorder. At one time I became desperately ill with ptomaine poisoning. I was unable to reach the telephone to call for help, but I felt no fear. Although I was becoming unconscious, I knew that God was near and would help. When I regained consciousness I was free and able to glorify God.
