Signs of the Times

From an article in The Evangelical Christian Toronto, Ontario, Canada

There are hundreds of references to power in the Bible, as one may see if he takes his concordance. Again and again power is referred to as belonging to God.

Once a man is prepared to dethrone his will for God's will, he is in the place of power. Once we can say to God and mean it, "Thy will be done," then if one might quote Kipling in this regard, "Yours is the earth and everything that's in it." Then we are linked with omnipotence in an eternal covenant of grace and power that can neither falter nor fail. No matter what our sphere may be, however humble or exalted, we shall then be a "power" in the truest and highest sense of the word.
