FROM ANNUAL REPORTS OF CHRISTIAN SCIENCE COMMITTEES ON PUBLICATION

Making Christian Science Better Known

Iowa

The great privilege of making Christian Science better known has been fulfilled to some degree by a widening of our broadcasting of The Mother Church transcribed programs; continued responses to invitations from college and Protestant church groups for a speaker to address such groups on the subject of Christian Science; excerpts from the Lesson-Sermon, as given in the Christian Science Quarterly, printed in an increasing number of newspapers; an increased circulation of The Christian Science Monitor through the exchange-for-advertising plan; the Annual Meeting of The Mother Church publicity; Thanksgiving Day service news reports; and assistance in joint cooperative newspaper advertising of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, and of our Reading Rooms in selected areas in the state.

Again this year many of our Christian Science lectures were printed in whole or in part. One newspaper, with a wide circulation in the state, printed an article written by one of its editorial writers containing comments which misinterpreted Christian Science. A correction was submitted to the management of the paper, and it was promptly published on the editorial page.
