ENLIGHTENMENT

The stars above us look down unafraid
Upon a darkened world in frenzied plight.
So little dimmed by years, they still are bright,
Untouched by earthly turmoil, undismayed.
God spoke, "Let there be light." The heavens obeyed.
In the eternal Mind there is no night.
Man, as God's image, now reflects the light
Of that effulgence which can never fade.

Then may the stars, undaunted, bright, and clear,
Give inspiration with their steadfast glow,
And may the radiance of Truth appear,
That the enlightened hearts of men may know
True brotherhood and peace, devoid of fear.
Within the realm of Love there is no foe.
