"REDEEMING THE TIME"

Paul once wrote to the church members at Ephesus (Eph. 5:15, 16), "Walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil." This admonition may be heeded with profit today, for with world peace threatened and indulgence in material pleasures increasing, there is need for a better understanding and use of time.

Our great Master, Christ Jesus, used his time on earth with maximum results. He healed the sick, cast out sin, and overcame all material obstacles, even death itself. He made it clear that not only his disciples, but all men are under the necessity of following his example in proof of man's completely spiritual and perfect status as God's image.

Speaking of Jesus' final and supreme accomplishment, our Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, writes in the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," as follows (p. 44): "His three days' work in the sepulchre set the seal of eternity on time. He proved Life to be deathless and Love to be the master of hate. He met and mastered on the basis of Christian Science, the power of Mind over matter, all the claims of medicine, surgery, and hygiene."
