My first healing in Christian Science...

My first healing in Christian Science came when I turned from material medicine to Mind, God. I cannot tell in words how grateful I am for the practitioner who came to me one night after hearing that I wanted to know something about Christian Science and wanted help. I was in bed with a fever and was too sick to take much notice of her when she sat down by my bed. After she had worked for me about an hour I opened my eyes and told her I felt well. She asked me to come and see her the following morning, and I did so with no difficulty. She talked to me quite a while and lent me the textbook, Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy. This I read nearly all night, and I have studied it daily ever since.

I have had many healings since then, and my heart is full of gratitude to this practitioner, who has helped me so untiringly along the way. Class instruction from a consecrated teacher and the annual association meetings have been very helpful to me. I thank our heavenly Father for Mrs. Eddy's spiritualized thinking, which enabled her to give the final revelation of Truth to the world.
