It is recorded in Acts that Peter, on seeing that Gentiles as well as Jews believed in God, said (10: 34, 35), "Of a truth I perceive that God is no respecter of persons: but in every nation he that feareth him, and worketh righteousness, is accepted with him." And Mrs. Eddy, in speaking of the healing Principle demonstrated by Christ Jesus, says (Science and Health, p. 141), "For this Principle there is no dynasty, no ecclesiastical monopoly."

The truth of these two statements was proved to me some time ago. While serving as deck officer on board ship in a far eastern port, I was overcome with a great sense of loneliness and discouragement. I decided to call a Christian Science practitioner, but on looking up in The Christian Science Journal the names of practitioners in that city, I found only two, both of whom were of the nationality of that country.

My first reaction was to wait until I returned to the United States. The need was so great, however, that I called one of the two practitioners. Treatment was immediately given, and soon my discouragement was replaced by courage and hope, while my loneliness gave way to joy and gladness.
