LETTERS TO THE PRESS FROM CHRISTIAN SCIENCE COMMITTEES ON PUBLICATION

Hampshire Telegraph and Post Portsmouth, Hampshire, England

In [a recent] edition,... under the section headed "Pulpit and Pew," appear statements regarding Christian Science which are misleading, and your courtesy in giving space to this explanatory letter would be greatly appreciated.

It is observed that a certain clergyman said, "A true Christian should seek aid from a doctor and not from Christian Science." While Christian Scientists respect and appreciate the good work of the medical profession, they also respect and uphold the right of freedom of the individual to choose in which way aid should be sought, and in their case endeavor to follow in the steps of the Master, Christ Jesus, by absolute reliance on God for healing.
